Royal Netherlands Army invests €722,000 in Titomic cold spray manufacturing technology

The Royal Netherlands Army has placed an order for ten units of Titomic’s D523 metal cold spray manufacturing system. It is the largest order Titomic has received for its D523 cold-spray systems to date.

The Koninklijke Landmacht land branch of the Royal Netherlands Army has invested 772,000 EUR (AU$1.28 million) into the additive manufacturing systems, with nine of them being sent to support Ukraine’s war effort. With these systems, the armed forces will enhance battle damage repair in-field and forward maintenance, improving battle readiness and prolonging mission capability. The D523 system can process a series of metal materials, including aluminium, copper, nickel and Inconel 625, deliver parts with great accuracy and is capable of providing porosities below 1%.

Titomic wins aerospace 3D spray printing repair and coating contract

Additive manufacturer Titomic has won an order from aircraft maker Airbus Group to supply cold spray additive manufacturing, repairs and maintenance equipment. The cold spray additive manufacturing process – also known as cold spray 3D printing – will allow Airbus to fabricate freestanding parts or to build features on to existing aircraft components, The $645,000 contract sees cold spray systems for unique coatings and repairs installed on Airbus’ sites, while another system will be installed at Titomic’s European facility.

Titomic & Boeing: Additive manufacturing partnership

Titomic Limited (ASX: TTT) (“Titomic” or “Company”) is pleased to announce it has received a purchase order from Boeing Space, Intelligence, and Weapons Systems (Boeing) for AUD 132,174 for the continuation of flight qualifications of Titomic Kinetic Fusion manufactured components, which were initiated in 2021. Further, the purchase order is a result of an agreement made between Titomic and Boeing in May 2019, which was centered around the production of additively manufactured test parts. Since then, both companies have made progress in their testing and development of Titomic Kinetic Fusion technology for various aerospace applications. The receipt of the purchase order is a positive development and marks the next step in the productive relationship between the two companies, as well as a step towards commercial manufacturing on a larger scale.
